River goes in search of secrets, while
Jubal Early finds his prey.
On page 2, in River's dream, she sees herself as a little

of her room. River was known for a love of dance as a child

On page 3 (and elsewhere through the mini-series), notice
that the Academy building has two pillars at the front each
topped with a statue of several figures, possibly children,
holding up a globe. We don't get a large, detailed drawing
of the globes, but they look as if they might be a

Notice that Jubal Early is depicted wearing the earring in
his left ear previously seen in
"Objects in Space" and which is an affectation of actor
Richard Brooks, who portrayed the character in that episode.
Zoe is tossed into an unnamed Alliance prison camp. It may
be that this is the prison on the unnamed penal moon mentioned by
Lt. Womack in "The Message".
On the last two pages of this issue, notice that the
Operative has his sword hanging above the fireplace.
How did Mal know where to find the Operative?
